Recently , I have received a few complains about SS Members being called black. I Hope that SS members will keep watch of those who are in SS and who says that . The world 'black' may not do any harm to you but some may be very attentive to it . So please keep a lookout for those who has been called . As Always , I Hope SS The Best Smile

Thank You for bringing this up Viv!

This can defiantly be offensive to others, as you don't know who someone is behind a computer screen.

So what about "white"? why is it offensive when someone says "black girl/boy" but not when someone says "white girl/boy"?

You have a point, Jaylen. We do not wish to see any kind of racist language, regardless of colour.

I call myself white . . .
. . . But that's just because I'm whiter than rice o_O

I don't sit there and make fun of others though.

Why don't we make a campaign about racism?

How is being called black offensive or racist in anyway.  I believe equality is a two way street.  White people are usually not offended by being called white, so why should black people?  Be proud of your skin color and your heritage.

Coming from somebody who is dark skinned, no, I do not take offense when somebody uses the word "black", however it also depends on what context that it is used in.
It's happened before in SS that if somebody was trying to refer to me while speaking to somebody else, they'd refer to me as "that black girl" ...well "that black girl" has a name. You don't see me goin around referring to people as "that white girl/guy over there" or whatever.
So...ya, depends on the context.
But I've been called much worse, on and off habbo.
That's life!

Locking this topic. I think everyone has the common sense to think before they speak. If you feel you are a victim of racist abuse, please screenshot and speak to a Senior Manager.
